We must dare to struggle! On the streets, in our workplaces and through the stories we tell and share, we need films that have something important to say, that connect us, that help us understand each other. We need films that highlight important histories and dare to change the system. We need courageous filmmakers to tell these stories if we’re going to build a better future. Film has the ability to change our understanding of the world. This is why I’m so proud to be associated with the Dare to Struggle Film Festival. This festival encourages progressive filmmakers to step up to the challenge. There are so many talented and diverse voices out there, I can’t wait to see what the program has to offer this year. This is a festival not to be missed.
